This is a tour for those who have heard about the dramatic landscapes of Scotland and of the Isle of Skye in particular. This tour gives you more flexibility and freedom. For example having more days of sightseeing, the ability to travel at a more relaxed pace to enjoy the spectacular geological scenery or the chance of seeing wildlife such as whales and red deer, just to name a few.

09:00:00 Departure from Edinburgh
Discover the highland village of Dunkeld on the banks of the river Tay. Head into the Cairngorm national park and the ancient pine forests of the Rothiemurchus estate. After lunch spend time on the shores of Loch Insh before a short forest walk takes you to the ruins of Loch an Eilean castle.

Get droppped off at your accomodation in the evening.

Head into the Northwest Highlands
You visit the far northwest highlands and the grandeur, expanse and wildness of the mountains of Assynt. You will be immersed in the history of the area and visit the 15th century ruins of Ardvreck Castle. Enjoy the breathtaking views of some of Europe’s oldest landscapes.
Day: Day2
Return to your accomodation.Overnight in Ullapool.

Leave your accomodation
Head south to take in the drama of the as it plunges 60m down into the Corrieshalloch Gorge. Travel past the mountains of the Beinn Eighe national nature reserve and along the picturesque coastline of Loch Torridon. Take your time in “tropical” Plockton to enjoy its sheltered serenity.
Day: Day3
Arrive at your accomodation in Portree.

Day: Day3
See as much as you can of the Isle of Skye
Today is a very flexible day. There are many possibilities depending on the weather and your driver/guide’s knowledge. You might travel north to the Quiraing mountain pass and enjoy a spectacular walk through. After lunch you can travel to Neist Point or alternatively visit to Dunvegan Castle.
Day: Day4
Arrive at your accomodation in Portree.

Day: Day4
Leave your accomodation
You travel south stopping first at the famous stronghold Eilean Donan Castle. Continuing east through the rugged mountains of Kintail you drive down through the stunning scenery of Glen Garry and the Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. In the afternoon you will explore spectacular Glencoe.
